How does the online dice roll work?

Each roll calls your browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues) to pick a number from 1 to 6 with a fair, equal chance for every face. The 3D tumble animation is just for show — the result is decided instantly and is genuinely random, with no pattern you can predict and no bias toward any number.

Is the dice roller truly random and fair?

Yes. We use the Web Crypto API, the same source browsers use for secure tokens, and reject the few byte values that would skew the odds, so every roll is a perfectly fair 1-in-6. Over many rolls each face naturally settles close to one-sixth of the total, which you can watch happen live in the face-frequency chart.

Can I roll two dice at the same time?

Yes. Use the toggle to switch between one die and two dice, then press Roll. With two dice the tool shows the value of each die, adds them into a total, and tells you when you've rolled a double (both dice showing the same number). The roller is capped at two dice to keep each throw quick and easy to read.

How do I turn the dice sound on or off?

Tap the Sound button next to Roll. The realistic plastic-dice clatter is generated right in your browser with the Web Audio API — there's no audio file to download — so you can mute it for a quiet room or keep it on for a satisfying roll.

What do the session stats and face chart show?

They tally your total number of rolls and dice thrown, highlight your current 'lucky number' (the most-rolled face), and chart how often each of the six faces has come up. The face-frequency bars are a simple, visual way to see probability in action — the more you roll, the more even the six bars become. The stats are saved only in your own browser, and Clear resets them anytime.
