How to use Arbitrage Betting Calculator
Enter your total bankroll
This is the total amount you're willing to split across sportsbooks for this arbitrage.
Choose 2-way or 3-way
Most moneylines are 2-way (Team A vs. Team B); soccer/football 1X2 markets are 3-way (Team A / Draw / Team B).
Enter each outcome's best odds
Find the best available odds for each outcome, usually at DIFFERENT sportsbooks, and enter them one per outcome.
Check for arbitrage & place the stakes shown
If the combined implied probability is under 100%, an arbitrage exists — place exactly the stake shown on each outcome to guarantee the same profit regardless of the result.
Tricks & interesting facts
Making arbitrage actually work in practice
Finding the math is the easy part — executing it cleanly is where most people slip up.
TIPPlace the SMALLER stake first. If that book limits or rejects your bet, you haven't already locked yourself into a lopsided position on the other side.TIPDouble-check the bet slip total right before confirming — odds can move in the seconds it takes to switch between browser tabs.FACTSportsbooks track accounts that only ever bet both sides of a market, and can limit stake sizes or close those accounts entirely.
Real arbitrage margins are usually small (1–3%) and vanish within minutes as sportsbooks adjust their lines — speed matters more than almost anything else here.
Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate arbitrage betting?
Convert every outcome's odds to decimal, then add up 1 ÷ odds for each one. If that sum is under 1 (100%), an arbitrage exists — split your bankroll across the outcomes proportionally to (1 ÷ odds) ÷ sum to guarantee equal profit.
What is a good arbitrage percentage?
Any margin under 100% is a guaranteed profit — even 1–2% is real, risk-free return on the money staked. Most true arbitrage opportunities in mainstream sports are small and short-lived because sportsbooks quickly adjust their lines.
Do I need accounts at multiple sportsbooks for arbitrage betting?
Yes — an arbitrage opportunity exists because two (or more) different sportsbooks disagree on a price, so you need funded accounts at each book offering the best odds for each outcome, placed close together in time before the lines move.
Is arbitrage betting risk-free?
It's about as close to risk-free as sports betting gets, since you win the same amount regardless of the outcome — but execution risk exists: a line can move before you place the second bet, a book can limit your stake, or a bet can be voided.
What's the difference between arbitrage and hedging?
Arbitrage bets every outcome upfront, before any bet is placed, purely from odds discrepancies. Hedging places an opposing bet AFTER an earlier bet is already down, usually to lock in profit or cut a loss as the odds shift — see the Hedge Bet Calculator.
Is this arbitrage calculator free?
Yes — free, unlimited and 100% in-browser. No sign-up, no third-party API, nothing uploaded.
