How to use Attendance Calculator

  1. Enter classes attended

Type the number of lectures you have attended so far into the free online Attendance Calculator to begin working out your current attendance percentage.

  2. Add total classes

Enter the total classes held to date, the denominator the Attendance Calculator uses to divide your attended count and compute your percentage instantly.

  3. Set required percentage

Choose your institution's minimum attendance, often 75% for college or university, so the tool knows the target it must solve your bunk maths against.

  4. Read current percentage

Instantly see your live attendance percentage alongside the target, calculated as attended divided by total times 100, entirely in your browser.

  5. Plan bunks or catch-up

If above target, see how many classes you can safely skip; if below, see exactly how many you must attend in a row to recover.

  6. Share or reset

Share your attendance result with a link or reset to test new scenarios, tracking how skipping or attending lectures shifts your percentage for free.

Frequently asked questions

How is attendance percentage calculated?

Divide the number of classes you attended by the total classes held, then multiply by 100. For example, 45 of 60 classes = 45 ÷ 60 × 100 = 75%.

How many classes can I bunk and stay at 75%?

The tool computes this for you: when you’re above the target, it shows the maximum classes you can miss before dropping below your required percentage.

What if I’m below the required percentage?

It shows how many upcoming classes you’d need to attend in a row (with no more absences) to bring your attendance back up to the target.

How many more classes do I need to attend to reach 75%?

Enter your classes attended, total classes held and a 75% target, and this attendance calculator shows exactly how many classes in a row you must attend (with no further absences) to climb back to 75%.

Can I use this attendance percentage calculator for college or university?

Yes. It works for any school, college or university attendance requirement — just set the “Required %” to your institution’s minimum (often 75%) to see your current attendance percentage and how many lectures you can safely skip.

How many classes can I miss to keep 75% attendance?

It depends on how many classes are held in total. Enter your classes attended and total held with a 75% target, and the calculator shows the exact maximum number of classes you can still miss before dropping below 75%.

Why do most colleges require 75% attendance?

75% is a common minimum set by universities and boards (like AICTE and many state universities) to be eligible to sit final exams. Falling below it can mean being detained or barred from exams — this calculator helps you stay safely above the line.
