Why does a word show "No dictionary entry found"?

This usually means the word is misspelled, extremely obscure, a proper noun, or not in the underlying open dictionary dataset. Double-check the spelling and try again.

Does it work for word forms like plurals or past tense?

Most common inflected forms (plurals, past tense, -ing forms) are recognised, but for the fullest set of definitions try the base/dictionary form of the word (e.g. "run" instead of "running").

Is my search data stored or sent anywhere?

Lookups are sent to a public dictionary API to fetch the definition; nothing is logged against your identity. Your recent-search list is stored only in your own browser (localStorage) so you can revisit past words, and never leaves your device.
