How to use Online Timer
Set the time
Enter the hours, minutes and seconds you want with the steppers, or tap a quick preset such as 5, 10 or 25 minutes to fill it in instantly.
Press Start
Tap Start Timer and the circular ring begins counting down to zero, showing the exact time remaining as it goes.
Adjust on the fly
Need more or less time? Use the +1 min and −1 min buttons to adjust the running countdown, or Pause to hold it and Resume to continue.
Hear the alarm
When the timer reaches zero it sounds a clear alarm and flashes 'Time's up!' on screen, so you never miss the moment even from across the room.
Restart or reset
Tap Restart to run the same duration again, or Reset to go back and set a brand-new countdown.

How do I set a timer online?
Enter the hours, minutes and seconds using the steppers, or tap a quick preset such as 5, 10 or 25 minutes. Then press Start Timer and the countdown begins immediately, showing the time remaining on a circular progress ring. When it reaches zero you'll hear an alarm and see a 'Time's up!' message.
Will the timer still go off if I switch to another tab?
Yes. The timer counts down toward a fixed target time rather than by ticking, and it schedules the alarm for that exact moment, so it stays accurate and still rings when you're on another tab or app. The browser tab title also shows the live countdown, and when you come back the display immediately shows the correct time remaining.
Can I pause the timer or add more time?
Yes. Press Pause to freeze the countdown and Resume to continue from where you paused. While the timer is running you can also tap +1 min or −1 min to add or remove a minute on the fly without starting over.
What sound does the timer make when it finishes?
It plays a short, clear alarm chime generated right in your browser with the Web Audio API — there's no audio file to download. The screen also flashes and shows 'Time's up!', so you'll notice even if your device is muted or across the room.
Do I need to allow sound or install anything?
No installation is needed — it runs entirely in your browser. To make sure the alarm can play, browsers require a tap first, which happens naturally when you press Start, so the sound is ready when the countdown ends. If your device is on silent, rely on the on-screen flash instead.
Is the online timer free and private?
Completely. It's free with no sign-up and no limits, and everything runs locally in your browser — nothing about your timer is sent to or stored on any server. It works on any phone, tablet or computer, full-screen, whenever you need it.
