How do I remove the background from an image?

Is the background removal free?

Does my image get uploaded to a third-party service?

No. The cut-out is computed entirely on our own server using an open-source AI model — your image is never sent to an external API like remove.bg. The uploaded file is deleted immediately after processing.

What’s the difference between Standard and HD?

Standard is fast and caps the output at 1500px on the longest side — great for web and social. HD processes at the image’s full resolution with a larger, higher-quality matting model for sharper edges and fine detail (hair, fur). HD is a Pro feature.

What image formats can I use?

Why does only one image process at a time?

Background removal is CPU-intensive, so the server runs one job at a time to stay fast and fair for everyone. If you submit while another removal is running, yours simply waits its turn.
