File Converter

Convert images, audio, video, documents and more.

A file converter is a tool that changes a file from one format into another — a PNG into a JPG, a document into a PDF — without needing the software that created it. This universal converter lets you pick a format from any category (Image, Audio, Video, Document, Ebook…) and convert on our server. Images (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF) convert instantly; other formats run when their engine is available.

How to use File Converter

  1. Pick from and to

Open the free online image converter and choose the source and target formats, for example JPG to PNG, PNG to WebP or HEIC to JPG.

  2. Add your files

Drag and drop your images or click to select them, up to 200 MB each, and batch-convert many files together in one go.

  3. Set image options

Choose lossless or a quality level for smaller files, and optionally set a max width to scale large photos down before converting.

  4. Convert instantly

Click Convert all and your files are processed quickly on our secure server, then deleted right after, with nothing to install.

  5. Check the result

Review each converted file with its before-and-after size and the exact percentage saved, so you know the new format is smaller.

  6. Download everything

Save a single converted image instantly, or download a whole batch packaged together in one convenient ZIP file.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert an image to another format for free?

Drop your file into the image converter, choose what to convert from and to (for example JPG to PNG, PNG to WebP or HEIC to JPG), then click Convert. It's a free online file converter — your image is processed on our server and deleted right after, with nothing to install.

What image formats does this converter support?

You can convert between JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF, BMP and ICO in any direction. The same tool also handles PDF to image and image to PDF, so it works as an all-in-one image and document converter.

Can I convert multiple images at once?

Yes — this is a batch image converter. Add as many files as you like, pick one target format, and convert them all together. When several finish, you can download them in a single ZIP.

How do I reduce image file size when converting?

Turn off Lossless and lower the quality slider, or convert to a modern format like WebP or AVIF that compresses far better than JPG or PNG. You can also set a max width to scale large photos down, shrinking the converted file even more.

Is converting JPG to PNG or PNG to WebP lossless?

PNG and WebP support lossless output, so converting to them with Lossless enabled keeps full quality. JPG and AVIF are lossy formats, but at maximum quality the difference is hard to see — the converter lets you choose per file.

Are my files uploaded safely and kept private?

Files are sent over an encrypted connection, converted on our server, and deleted immediately afterwards. We don't store, share or look at your images — the converter exists only to return your converted file.

Is there a file size limit for the image converter?

You can convert files up to 200 MB each, which is plenty for high-resolution photos, multi-page PDFs and most media. For very large batches, convert in a few groups so each download stays manageable.

How do I convert HEIC or HEIF photos from my iPhone to JPG?

Choose HEIC/HEIF as the input and JPG as the output, add your iPhone photos, then click Convert — you'll get standard JPG files that open on any device or website. You can convert a whole batch at once and download them as a ZIP.

What's the difference between WebP, AVIF and JPG?

JPG is the most compatible but least efficient; WebP is smaller at the same quality and works in every modern browser; AVIF compresses the best of the three but is newer. For the web, converting to WebP is usually the safest way to shrink files without visible quality loss.
